It utilizes turbo vacuums and external air-flow to regenerate tank pressure for extended range and increased boost for an estimated 100 miles. The chassis doubles as the master tank and all components, including the seats, are mounted to the central chassis/tank to eliminate redundant structure and reduce overall weight. The body features vegetable-based polymer panels and fairings. I'm actually a bit concerned about this design... if there was an accident or physical impact, would it not explode under pressure?
The main tanks and reserves can apparently be filled quickly and safely using a simple generator / air compressor at home or a tire filler at the local filling station. If this is the case, it would cost substantially less than even electricity! I can foresee compressed air at gas stations becoming more expensive if this is concept actually sees production, though.
All in all, it's a pretty interesting concept car, and not a lot of information is currently available for it. Nonetheless, the pictures are awe-inspiring.
all pictures for this post were from megamachine.info
Sounds like a Dyson vacuum cleaner.
ReplyDeletethat car looks legit
ReplyDeleteIt looks cool but at the same time really fragile...
ReplyDeletewhere are the wheels?
ReplyDeletelooks amazing. Can't wait to see more of it
ReplyDeleteLooks too flashy for my taste. I'm really tired of these "futuristic" designs.
ReplyDeleteInteresting looking concept....kind of ugly at the same time.
ReplyDeletewow, that's sleek
ReplyDeletethat looks too future-y
ReplyDeleteMan I want a flying car already :D
ReplyDeletethat is effing badass
ReplyDeleteFirst one looks a bit like Speed Racer's ride.
ReplyDeleterunning on compressed air. the concept is sleek, but to much ahead of its time. but thats just my opinon. the pictures are wonderful to look at.
ReplyDeletei bet that thing goes really fast
ReplyDeleteWhoa. :O That's all I can say haha.
ReplyDeletethis pretty much works for me.
ReplyDeletesmoochies n' poopies. :*
A very futuristic design but I'm a bit skeptical about the fuel source. I am doubting the yield of a simple generator and compressed air as a power source. If generating energy was that simple, there would be no need for advanced fuel technology such as hydrogen fuel cells.
ReplyDeletekeep up the posts
ReplyDeletethose look funny :p
ReplyDeletefunny but ugly :p
ReplyDeletewell that is a pure Honda...i am in love
ReplyDeleteWhat a monster :oo i like it
ReplyDeletei want to see it out on the streets
ReplyDeletewow, the world needs more cars like this! Its 2010 and no flying cars :[
ReplyDeletewow this is awesome
ReplyDeleteVery smart idea with using compressed air. I can imagine that there is virtually no pollution produced when running this type of energy source.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a sweet ride, but I really wonder what kind of mileage one would get on a tank of air. Cool idea though, lots of air on Earth =)
ReplyDeletei like your design..
ReplyDeletelooks like a spaceship
ReplyDeleteInteresting post...
ReplyDeletedoesnt look too practical
ReplyDeleteWeird design, but I like it :)
ReplyDeletelooks futuristic and good but because it's to ahead of it's time there are tons of problems that could show up so to much money to maintain
ReplyDeletefantastic car .
ReplyDeleteEpic... the future is now.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I like the look, but it's really awesome that it runs on air.
ReplyDeletedope as hell
ReplyDeletei like the white/orange color scheme. very nice post.
ReplyDeletethis car makes me hyperventilate :(
ReplyDeleteWHOA
ReplyDeleteWHY DON'T I HAVE ONE YET!?
One day everyone is going to own one of these and minivans are going to be classic cars. SO CRAZY!!
ReplyDeletegreat post! i like it
ReplyDeletesupportin & folloing you!
WTF?! the car looks so awesome! dang it
ReplyDeleteSweet car!
ReplyDeletegreat stuff
ReplyDeletefollowing your blog!
Thats really neat. I am glad they are looking to alternatives besides gasoline. However, I doubt this will ever catch on.
ReplyDeletesurprising stuff
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the Mach 5 from Speed Racer.
ReplyDeletelooks... weird
ReplyDeleteI will drive whatever form of automobile that will save me from wasting money or lives using gasoline, whether it's powered by electricity, air, or I'm carried around by a fat person.
