Can You Lift A Car With Balloons?

I saw this video a while ago, but was never able to determine whether it was real or fake. My personal opinion is that the amount of balloons used in the video wouldn't be sufficient enough to lift a car, but I secretly hope I'm wrong because it's such an awesome video. Perhaps with some serious weight reduction, such a feat would be achievable.... but the video is too shaky to make a definitive judgment call. It's probably fake, but have a look!

So, what's the verdict guys? Real or fake?

  5. There's a group of dudes and gals that get sexually aroused by inflating and bursting baloons, I think they're called looners.
    Nice vid anyway!

  6. sorry to burst your bubble guys but it's fake. A saw a show once where they tried to lift a 10 year old girl in the air and they had 2-3 times more baloons than in this vid. Too bad though.

  10. It's definitely fake but good. That number of balloons might lift a man but not a car.

  17. Well,

The listed curb weight of a Ford Cortina is 1,736 lbs

I once did a test and it took about 50 of those 12" party balloons to lift a one pound brick of butter.

So we are talking 87000 of those balloons to lift that car.

    It's fake.
